Here in Maycomb county
The weather is nice, the skies are blue
But everybody sees black men as bounty
here it's simple and modern with new
but our views on some people are from 1892
the Ewells still can't write a sentence
i guess this means they aren't that bright
but they will accuse a black man and take their rights
even though I am young i still find beauty in this nature
from the birds in the trees, and the bright flowers in the neighbors garden
I don't want this peace to be ruined by an old family's soul who's hardened
and i wish that Mr. Robinson case of a felony will just be pardoned
him and his family found the same reason to live in Maycomb, Alabama just like the rest of us
they came here to live for the inner peace like the rest of us
Mr. Robinson did not commit any crime
He does not deserve punishment or even a fine
I think it's sad how much people hate him
He did nothing wrong he is just like the rest of us
But Mr. Robinson isn't just one of the hated
Boo Radley, the Ewells, and Mr. Dolphus Raymond
all receive the same kind of hate as him
All poems don't have to rhyme
and all people don't commit crimes
it's just the racial prejudice of someone's predisposition
it's terrible this kind of world we live in
where the persons looks are a sin
if people actually took the time to look at them
they'd finally realize what they have done and it an end to it
Please to all of the folks in Maycomb county
Don't treat others because of they way they look
if you do then it's called judging a book by its cover
this is the pre judgment of another and it's a very bad thing
Now do you still think that this place is paradise
where everybody's fait is ruled by a weighted pair of dice
it is a plague worse than lice, and far more horrid then mice
it's the home of all diversity.
